AAA Baseball Division - Ages 9-11
This Division is for those players who learned how to throw, field, pitch and hit player pitching at the Minors A and AA levels and are ready to play their first year of fully competitive baseball following all of the rules in the Official Little League Rule Book, but still allowing all players to bat throughout the game. Player evaluations are required. The most common ages for this division are 9-10 years old and may include 11 year old's not drafted to a Majors Division team. Players must be at least league age 9 by April 30th of the current season in order to play AAA, no exceptions.
AAA is a drafted division. No team or buddy requests are permitted.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Mitt, cleats, baseball pants, socks and belt (color selected by team managers), protective cup, bat (must be 2018 Little League approved), and batting helmet. South Hill Little League provides jerseys and hats that the players get to keep.
Important notes and rules for the Boys Divisions:
It is recommended that all players 9-10 years old (with at least some baseball experience) attend AAA tryouts for evaluation and experience unless their parent or guardian plans to Manage in the Minors AA division. This is preferred over registering directly into the Minors AA division, but it is not required. Any players not making an AAA team would be assigned to an AA team by the league.
Players may play up one division by registering online or at an in-person event.
